COVID-19 may never go, may become endemic like HIV & Chickenpox

Even after a COVID-19 vaccine is developed and deployed  experts fear that the virus may never go away.

                                      

Coronavirus will likely remain for years to come,when there are four endemic viruses that are present, experts believe that Covid-19 will become the fifth.

"This virus is here to stay. The question is, how do we live with it safely?" Sarah Cobey, an epidemiologist and evolutionary biologist at the University of Chicago was quoted as saying by Post.

                        

It has infected over 5.6 million people worldwide and has claimed more than 3,55,000 lives to date, according to figures by Johns Hopkins University.

Experts say that amid all the uncertainty revolving around the contagion the persistence of the novel virus is one of the few things.
